Who we are

This is Julian Broadway’s personal website. It is hosted and managed by hyperdefined.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

User Accounts

Only certain users are allowed to make accounts. All accounts are manually created with a username, password, name and email. We use this information to identify each user that posts on the website. We collect emails so users can recovery their accounts if needed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We use Google Analytics to track traffic to the website. We only use this information to see how active the site is by measuring how much traffic is sent. This data is not personalized towards specific people. Google collects this information, not us.

You can find more information about Google Analytics here.

We run ads from using Google Adsense. Google uses cookies to track what sites you visit to personalize what ads you see on the website.

You can find more information about Google Adsense here.

When a visitor signs up for a newsletter, we collect their name and email. We use this information to personalize and send out each update through the newsletter.

Who we share your data with

We don’t share personal information that you submit to the website to any third-party organisations. We believe that information sent to our site should be used for this site only.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you signed up with the newsletter, you can unsubscribe from the listing by clicking the link at the bottom of each email. You can also be manually removed by sending a message on the contact page.

How we protect your data

We value data protection, so we have many measures to protect any data that is saved to the website.
